Oil & Gas - Project Opportunities
In addition to reducing/reusing flared or vented gas, the oil and gas sector can reduce emissions through :
- Avoidance of fugitive emissions at oil wells, refineries and oil transport systems;
- Switching to less carbon intensive fuels during production and transportation processes;
- Energy efficiency projects such as reduction in steam consumption or recovery of process waste heat and utilization of process by products.

Defining and developing emission reduction (ER) projects in a manner that can produce saleable emission reduction credits is a complex process. AgCert is one of the most experienced developers of emission reduction projects with 75 registered projects, representing more than 600 project sites internationally. We work with industry and governments to:
- Identify emission reduction project opportunities
- Apply technology to implement the produce emission reductions
- Prepare regulatory filings needed to produce certified emission reductions
- Monitor the ER project in a manner compliant with high-value Certified ERs (CERs)
- Sell the emission reductions for revenue to be shared with the investors and project site.
